Loring Hall is located about five minutes’ walk from the Goldsmiths campus and houses students in 55 self-contained flats spread over seven blocks.

Who lives in Loring Hall?

Undergraduate students are housed from September to June.  The Study Abroad Students who given agreements from the September to December/March/June are usually housed separately and in a mixed-sex flat.

How many people will I have to share with?

Loring Hall is made up of 55 self-contained flats. Each flat contains the ensuite rooms and one kitchen.  All the rooms in the hall are for single occupancy.

Facilities

Rooms in the hall vary in size and have an en-suite bathroom.  Students have access to shared kitchens. There is a laundry room on site at Loring Hall.

There is no car parking at Loring Hall. There is a bicycle rack at the rear of the building, and bikes are left there at the owner’s risk. You are encouraged to have insurance cover and an adequate lock. Bikes cannot be kept in bedrooms or any other area inside Loring Hall.

Rubbish from the kitchen is collected throughout the week and communal areas are cleaned regularly (except bank holidays and college closure days). Recycling bags are provided in your kitchens too. Royal Mail deliver post directly to the flats in the hall.

Internet

Students can connect to the Internet and the Goldsmiths network using the campus wifi.  This is included in the cost of the room.
